Stefano D'Anna is an Italian jazz tenor and soprano sax player, composer, teacher.

In 2005 Stefano D'Anna's CD "Runa" has been included in the seventh edition of "The Penguin Guide to CDs", obtaining a three and a half stars rating.

In 1998 Stefano D'Anna's CD "Carousel" has been rated "Best Italian Jazz CD" by Basimedia Magazine and it has also been included in "The Penguin Guide to CDs", obtaining a three stars rating.

In 1995 Stefano D'Anna's CD. "Leapin' in" has been included in "The Penguin Guide to CD, LP & Cassettes", obtaining a four stars rating i.e. the maximum available.



In 1992 Stefano D'Anna has won the yearly critics poll "Top Jazz", held by the Italian magazine "Musica Jazz", resulting first in the category "Best New Talent".



Since 2020 he teaches Jazz Saxophone at Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina Conservatory in Cagliari, Italy.

From 2015 to 2019 he taught Jazz Saxophone at Luca Marenzio Conservatory in Brescia, Italy.

From 2010 to 2014 he taught Jazz Saxophone at Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina Conservatory in Cagliari, Italy.

Stefano D'Anna plays exclusively mouthpieces set up by Filippo Bucci, Rome.
