In 1992 Stefano D'Anna has won the yearly critics poll "Top Jazz", held by the Italian magazine "Musica Jazz", resulting first in the category "Best New Talent".
Since 2020 he teaches Jazz Saxophone at Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina Conservatory in Cagliari, Italy.
From 2015 to 2019 he taught Jazz Saxophone at Luca Marenzio Conservatory in Brescia, Italy.
